OldCape.com Real Estate was founded in 2002 by Howard Hayes and Joanne Porter Liberles, long-standing Cape Cod and Boston-area REALTORS®. In 2007, Jeffrey Moore purchased half the ownership interest in the company to partner with Howard Hayes. Shortly thereafter, the company was awarded the franchise for Sotheby's International Realty Affiliates, Inc. to represent properties on Cape Cod. Today the company has offices in Orleans and Brewster and its real estate agents represent buyers and sellers in Cape Cod towns and villages of Orleans, East Orleans, Brewster, Harwich, Harwich Port, Dennis, Chatham, Eastham, Wellfleet, and Truro. Its rental property management group handles vacation and seasonal rental property in these areas as well.
A high level of real property expertise and service is the hallmark of the company. Hayes' real estate career has centered on Cape Cod where he owned and managed a leading full-service agency from 1977 until its sale to a national real estate firm in 1999. He holds the prestigious Certified Residential Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation, which is conferred on less than 3% of real estate managers nationwide. He has served as a director of the Cape Cod and Islands Association of REALTORS® and is involved with numerous community and civic organizations. His particular area of expertise is the acquisition and marketing of real estate investment properties and resort property vacation rentals.
Jeff Moore, a 1975 graduate of MIT, founded and served as CEO of several successful high tech companies throughout his career. After university he worked as a bioengineering researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he invented several successful devices including the tympanic membrane thermometer, a digital anesthesia delivery system, and other medical instrument innovations. After divesting of his last start-up company in 1997, he launched a successful real estate career on Cape Cod, culminating with owner-partnership of oldCape Sotheby's International Realty.
